I have two major interests - i) the geopolitics of limits to growth, and ii) Russia watching.

Sublime Oblivion focuses on resource depletion, climate change, and the geopolitics of the coming age of scarcity industrialism. Will technological developments or sociological shifts enable us to transition to a sustainable development path in time - or will we fall into a vicious spiral of energy shortages, authoritarianism, and resource wars, leading to the collapse of global industrialism by 2050?

Da Russophile is about Russia's politics, society, and demography. In particular, it exposes many Western myths about Russia such as its imminent "demographic apocalypse", rehabilitation of Stalinism, and the hypocrisy of its "liberal" (i.e. Western neocon-sponsored) opposition.
